Jacob Ferree was married to his cousin, Rachael Ferree. They had a son Joel (born 1771 -
died September 5, 1807). He was married a second time to Alice Powell, who was a skilled
shot with rifles. She tested guns and gunpowder made by her husband. During the Revolutionary War Jacob produced guns and gun powder for the government. Jacob was probably a partner of his father Isaac in his business which was known as J. & I. Ferree (this could be Isaac Ferree). Jacob was burried in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. His gunsmith tools were sold to Isaac Ferree. Jacob belongs to the Lancaster School Kentucky Rifles and Pistols, U.S. Military. |
